PATTAYA – July 29, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.30 p.m., Mr. Sakon Phonluk-in (Councilor of Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization as a representative of Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization), Mr. Rattanachai Sutthidechanai (Deputy Chairman of Pattaya City Council as a representative of Pattaya city), Mr. Atthaphon Wannakit [Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Pattaya Office], Mr. Phet Chinboot (Director of Food Institution, Ministry of Interior) and Mr. Phuriphan Boonnak [Director of Domestic Marketing Promotion Division, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)], together made a statement about arranging “PATTAYA FOOD & HOTELIERS EXPO’14”, 8th time, among mass media and hotels’ personnel at A-One The Royal Cruise (Pattaya).

 

Mr. Atthaphon Wannakit [Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Pattaya Office] revealed that “ We would like to emphasize that Pattaya city is a quality tourism destination therefore we have to raise our outstanding service to attract the tourists’ interest because there are so many countries that attract more tourists so I believe in the quality of our service and the Thai culture including the proficiency of hotels’ personnel will be able to attract new tourists’ and development in the careers of personnel who provide service in our area will be one way to make Pattaya city popular among tourists in the further.”

Mr. Phuriphan Boonnak [Director of Domestic Marketing Promotion Division, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)] said that “Pattaya city is regarded as the first target area that we have pushed the MICE City which previously we have had presented it to foreign countries about its readiness to be a MICE industry in the aspects of place, hotels, tourist attractions, equipment, the modernization of various information technology which support our area. At present, our promotion has got a satisfactory result which Vietnam is the main market area that joined the seminar therefore it can be said that “Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo’14” strengthen the MICE market and tourism in Pattaya city.

 

The highlight of “Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo’14” is the competition of cooking international food for the 3rd time of Pattaya City Culinary Cup in order to receive a rophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The competition is for professional cooks with teams of umpires and from foreign countries under the idea of “ Pattaya the World Cuisine City. There are 18 teams from 10 countries Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Australia, Myanmar, Chinese, Cambodia, Korea and Thailand.

Moreover, there will be “ Thailand’s Best Hospitality Art Competition Award 2014” for the 2nd time in order to win a trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with a total prize fund of over 800,000 THB. There will be four 4 categories consisting of a cooking completion, floristry (flower arrangement) competition, beverage blending competition and spa massage competition which are the main service careers that provide service to the tourists in Thailand.
