Pattaya To Dredge Canals To Support Rain Water

Pattaya officers have dredged rain water canals in order to support the expected rain water during the rainy season. They decided to dredge the canals due to complaints from hoteliers.

PATTAYA – August 5, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at Camelot Hotel Pattaya Dr.Weerawat Khakhai-deputy mayor of Pattaya- and municipal officers talked about the dredging of the drainage canal after hotel operators had complained to Pattaya officers.

 

Mr.Aek Amornchaisit-a hotel owner- had monitored the dredging. The officers dredged the canal from his hotel to 3rd Pattaya road which was about 100 meters so it can support the high levels of rain water during rainy season.

Dr.Weerawat said that he had led the officers to dredge the canal due to complaints from hoteliers and expected that the canal can support water which will drain from Phratamnak hill to South Pattaya canal. It’s expected that it will take around 3 days to complete.

 

In addition the officers will dredge another canal in Pattaya in order to support rain water during the rainy season. He added that the canal can easily drain water if it is kept clean and clear of rubbish and weeds.
