Pattaya Deputy Mayor Surveys The Dredging Of Na Kluea canal

Deputy Mayor of Pattaya city has inspected the progress of the dredging of Na Kluea canal. He revealed that Pattaya city has allocated a budget of almost 2 million THB to have the 4 km canal dredged by a private company.

PATTAYA – August 21, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- Dr. Weerawat Khakhai (Deputy Mayor of Pattaya city) together with the officers of the Bureau of Sanitary Engineering of Pattaya city had surveyed the Na Kluea canal Moo 6 Tambon Na Kluea, Amphur Banglamung, in order to inspect the progress of the dredging. Pattaya city has hired Inthana Construction Co., Ltd. with a budget of 1,995,000 THB to dredge the canal which is 4km long. The work started on July 29, 2014 and his hopped to be finished by October 26, 2014.

Dr. Weerawat revealed that previously Pattaya city has concerns about flooding because last year Na Kluea canal was blocked with soil, rocks, sand, garbage and vegetation which needed to be dredged for this years coming flood water. However Pattaya city plans to build a dam at the narrowest part in order for it to receive a larger amount of water.
