At the crime scene police found a large group of construction workers gathered around the dead body of a man, Mr. Tawai Tipsawat or Ball (22) of 52 /2 Moo. 12 Huahyai, Banglamung who was lying face down on the ground. He was wearing jeans and a black short sleeve shirt, which was torn to shreds from the attack. He had been hacked by a long knife and his body was covered with more than 20 wounds. Police found a holster on his belt and a knife sheath on the ground near his head.

Close to the dead body police also found another victim, Mr. Sirichai Dumdee or Neung (24) who was lying with serious wounds all over his body. He was groaning from the pain and the rescue team immediately rushed him to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

The girlfriend of Mr. Tawai, Miss Tippawan Buasorn (19) told police that on the evening of the incident, Mr. Nong and Mr. Tep called her boyfriend and asked for help because they had a conflict with another gang from a nearby construction camp, whom they called “the enemies”

Miss Tippawan said her boyfriend agreed to help his friends. He then took a gun with him and had her accompany him to visit his friends at their camp. When they arrived they had some drinks together and started to get drunk.

Subsequently three men, their enemies, Mr.Boy, Poo and Eak appeared with a gun and knives. They started to attack Mr. Nong and Mr. Tep. Her boyfriend then pulled out his gun and fired three shots into the air, which scared the attackers away.

They all carried on drinking until they ran out of whiskey and then walked together along the road to buy some more drink.Unexpectedly, while they were passing a dark area, the angry “enemies” came out of the shadows with long knives and started attacking them.

Eyewitnesses said the two groups of people [about 8 people] were running along the road and chasing, fighting and trying to kill each other like warriors.

Mr. Tawai stumbled and fell down on the ground and was brutally hacked and died instantly. Miss Tippawan said she had tried to help but the attackers threatened her and told her not to interfere or she would be killed too.

The brutal attackers continued chasing another victim, Mr. Neung and hacked him all over his body. Mr. Nong and Mr. Tep managed to run away into the bush and the police had tried to search for them.

Mrs. Aumnuoy Boaban (33) the worker’s supervisor said the two groups had a fight over a microphone in a Karaoke shop in the camp three days ago and the police had to come to the shop to sort out the problem but the two groups still wanted revenge on each other.

A group of more than 50 police officers are set to follow this case seriously and assured that the three brutal criminals would be arrested soon
