Pattaya Civil Defence Volunteer Caught with lots of Weapons

A civil defence volunteer has been arrested after the police were informed that he had lots of weapons some of which were not registered.

PATTAYA – June 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 18.30 pm. Pol.Col.Sakrapee Preawpanich-deputy commander of Chonburi-, Pol.Col.Sutthisak Wantee-superintendent of Nong Prue police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Chitdecha Songhong-deputy superintendent of Chonburi-, Pol.Capt.Kampanat Ritpetchnil-deputy investigation inspector-had arrested Mr Pongthep Naowaratjirawat a 51 year old civil defence volunteer. He was caught with a .22 mm. handmade gun, 2 shotguns, a 9 mm. Beretta pistol, a lot of bullets and 4 of two-way radios.

 

Pol.Col.Sakrapee revealed that the police officers had investigated that Mr.Pongthep had collected illegal arms therefore the officers raided his house with Pattaya court order. The police found a lot of weapons which some of them were not registered. However the police confiscated them and sent him to the police station to be prosecuted.
