Pattaya City Hall is host for the Housing Project for the Disadvantaged Venue.

Free housing-Are you eligible (by Jacques Biermann) The Housing Project for the Disadvantaged has been declared open by Mr Sonthaya Kunpleem at the Pattaya City Hall on June 30th, 2006. The objective of such venue is to allow applicants from the disadvantaged class to be able to apply for housing or reserve ownership rights.

   The housing allocation for this project sits on a 151 rai of land, consisting of a three story building which accomodates 117 units of living accommodation. Each unit has a living area of some 33 square meters, consisting of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. It is situated on the Sukhumvit Road signposted KM 155. Eligible applicants can register their names at the reservation centers being held at Pattaya City Hall, or, at Royal Garden Plaza, on Beach Road.

   The whole project has been commissioned by Thanayong, building constructors, under the management of Khun Kiri Karnjanapark, who is the director of the company.
Baan Eiarthon Project (Jomtien). According to the director of Thanayong, he addressed the audience by saying that the length of time for building this project would take approximately 20 months.

   
Eligible applicants must possess the following:-
1.                Be of Thai national, of sound mind and has never declared himself bankrupt
2.                Has earning of at least 17,500 Baht a month
3.                Does not have or own his own property registered in his name
4.                Has not engaged in any lease agreement contract with the National Housing Federation, if such is the case the applicant must surrender such contract when he is eligible to The Housing for the Disadvantaged Project
5.                Previous registered applicant with the National Housing Federation that has been successful is not eligible to apply
6.                be resident in the province at least 6 months, irrespective of where the applicant’s name is registered, he must have evidence or proof that he is engaged in employment in the province at least 6 months previously.
7.                Applicants whose house has been destroyed in a fire, or have been forced to give up their property within a year period will be considered for housing on its merit, but with a figure not exceed 20 per cent eligibility for the whole project.
8.                applicants are only eligible to register or reserve 1 unit only
9.                applicants meet certain financial conditions set out by the National Housing Federation and their bank

Proof of Applicants’ eligibility

1.                National Identification, Civil Identification submitted with a copy
2.                House Registration Certificate of Applicant and his spouse
3.                Marriage Certificate/Divorce Certificate (if applicable)
4.                Confirmation of salary of the applicant and his spouse, or bank statement that shows the last 6 months
5.                In case of applicants who have had their house destroyed by a fire or been evicted, applicant must show proof of such letter from the department that is responsible for such report
6.                Applicant’s Registered Identification under the Disadvantaged Scheme
