Pattaya Cell Phone Shop Owner Arrested On Drug Dealing Charges

Pattaya police arrested a female drug dealer and her two accomplices. The gang operated an amphetamine distribution center from a mobile shop in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – June 4, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol. Lt. Col. Anake Sathongyu, Pattaya police Chonburi arrested a gang of drug dealers. The three suspects were identified as:

1. Ms. Duangdao or “Dao Lightleeh” Age 29. Address: 170/12 Nong Preu, Banglamung, Chonburi province also the owner SK mobile phone shop. Ms. Duangdao was in possession of one small sachet of ya-ice ( crystal metamphetamine) weight 0.69 g, three amphetamine tablets, one mobile phone and a stock of clear plastic sachets for packaging resale of ya-ice. Ms. Duangdao was arrested at the SK mobile phone shop address: 62/38 Nong Preu, Banglamung.

2. Mr. Paisarn or “Boy Kerd-orn” Age 26. Address 68, Maenamkoo, Pluakdaeng, Rayong province in possession of ya-ice in clear plastic sachets totally 2.64g and one motorbike. Mr.Paisarn was arrested in front of SK mobile phone shop

3. Mr. Chai or “Kaen Klamthavee”. Age 47 address 61/5 Moo 19 Amphur Banglamung. The suspect was in possession of 59 amphetamine tablets, ya-ice contained in clear plastic sachets weight 1.41 g, two mobile phones. Mr. Chai was arrested in a rental room # 140, Mahesak dormitory, in Soi Central Pattaya 7. The three suspects were detained and they will be investigated at Pattaya police station.


Pol. Lt. Col. Anake Sathongyu, Inspector, Pattaya police station said that, the police had suspected Ms. Duangdao the owner of SK mobile phone shop in Central Pattaya for a long time. Later in a sting operation they could arrest her at her mobile phone shop after she had made an appointment with a under cover police officer. She was caught with one mobile phone, cash and ya-ice weight 0.69 g. Plus a stock of clear plastic sachets for drug resale.

Ms. Duangdao confessed that she opened the mobile phone shop in order to be able to sell ya-ice and amphetamine to teenagers who were a large part of her customers.
The police detained her at the mobile phone shop. Moments later Mr. Paisarn or “Boy” a member of the drug dealing gang arrived to see Ms. Duangdao. Mr. Paisarn was also detained, searched and on his body the police found ya-ice in the clear plastic sachets totally weight 2.64 g hidden inside his belt.


Mr. Paisarn confessed that he is the friend of Ms. Duangdao. His duty was to deliver the drugs to the customers and give the money Ms. Duangdao. Later the police arrested Mr. Chai or “Kaen” another member in the same gang.

The police detained the three suspects to be investigated and prosecuted according to the law. All the assets of Ms. Duangdao, the owner of mobile phone shop have been seized. The police believes that the assets were paid by drug money.
