Pattaya Bar Raided For Football Broadcasting

A group of men claimed they are football broadcasting authorised agents to raid Pattaya bar operator.

PATTAYA- 20 February- [PattayaDailyNews] at 02.00 am Pattaya police officers went to inspect Natalie Bar Beer on 2nd Pattaya road after a group of Thai men had pretended as football broadcasting copyright agent and police officers to crack down the operator.

 

The police officers went to the bar where they found a few foreigners watching foreign football match; while, an uniformed policeman told Pattaya police officers that he and his men had been authorised by Siam Media Copyright Inter Corporation Co to inspect the bar.

 

These men had tried to convince a bar owner to buy their TV digital box which is valued 18,000 baht because they claimed that the bar owner has wrongly broadcast football match.

 

The owner however claimed that she bought a TV box from another agent and broadcasted for 2 TV in her bar. Later the agent told her to install 2 boxes for 2 TV broadcastings.

 

These men had strongly tried to convince the operator to make the contract and buy their TV box at Pattaya police station; however, the operator didn’t grant to follow them because they didn’t believe that they are the real authorised agents. In addition, several operators have been always tricked by these faked agents.

 

However, Pattaya police said that the operator should notify the police if the operator experience the situation.
