Overpriced LotteryPattaya police have arrested two lottery vendors who were caught selling over priced lottery tickets. They were taken to the police station where they were fined 5,000 baht each.
PATTAYA – August 28th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 5.00 p.m., Pol.Lt.Col. Krissanat Thanasupphanat (Deputy Inspective Superintendent 3, Detection and Inspection Division, Section 2) found out that some lottery vendors had sold overpriced lottery tickets at the Big C department store, north Pattaya branch, Pattaya city, Chon Buri province.
The lottery vendors that were arrested were identified as Mrs. Ramphai Sribussarin, aged 37, and Mr. Pha-tee Phansri, aged 38. Upon questioning them they confessed that they bought the tickets from Jeh Toom (do not know her name and surname) in a shopping centre in Bangkok for 78 THB per ticket and sold them for 200 Baht. They said that they had to sell them at a higher price to make a profit.
After investigating the police sent the sellers to the inquiry officier at Pattaya city police station where they were fined 5,000 THB each and also banned from selling lottery tickets again.
