Online Weapons Dealing gang Caught Red Handed

The police have arrested a Thai-Chinese online weapons dealing gang which turned out to be twin brothers . They also seized a lot of weapons which were about to be sold.

CHONBURI – June 10, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.00 am. At Royal Thai Police office Pol.Gen.Watcharapol Prasarnratchakit- Acting Commissioner General-, Pol.Gen.Wut Liptapanlop, Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit Mahathaworn made a statement about arrest of a Thais-Chinese online weapons dealing gang.

 

Pol.Gen.Watcharapol said that at the beginning of June the Immigration Bureau was dispatched from the Chinese embassy to arrest an online weapon dealer which turned out to be a pair of Chinese twins identified as Yi Po and Yi Thao.

 

Also the police had discovered a large amount of weapons dumped at Ban Suan-Setthakit 30 Road in Nong Prue sub-district of Muang Chon Buri district in Chon Buri province. After investigation they arrested a Mr Huang Suekerng, Seksan Satthai, aged 42, and Mr Sakol Chairos, aged 32 who were accomplices of the weapons dealers.

 

Acting Commissioner General revealed that he sees that the NCPO had ordered to intensify the clamp down on weapons is appropriate even though the order had expired but he had ordered the police to squeeze the owners to hand in their weapons. He added that it will decrease violence if more people hand in their weapons. Plus the police will ask NCPO to destroy all of the weapons handed in. The Royal Thai police had intensified to clamp down these crimes since 11th June, they are to focus on arms and drugs as the main issues.

 

Meanwhile Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit revealed that the arms dealer gang who sold weapons via internet had been operating in Thailand for a year and Thai accomplices would collect and provide them with weapons as and when they were ordered.

1. a .380 automatic pistol (9 mm.KURT) (WALTHER)
2. a 9 mm. automatic pistol (LUGER (GLOCK)
3. a .25 automatic pistol (6.25mm.)(CZBRNO)
4. a 0.357 pistol MAGNUM(Smith&Wesson)
5. a AK-47
6. two 9 mm. rifles (MAUSER)
7. two AK-47 magazine with 28 bullets
8. over 11,000 bullets
9. six 40mm grenades
10. an ivory
In addition the police seized another eight pistols and 100 rounds of ammunition from the Thai accomplices.
