SATTAHIP – June 24,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.30 a.m., Mr. Parinya Phothisat (Sattahip sheriff, Chon Buri Province) commanded Mr. Chawat Thepthap (Head of Security Division) mobilized forces of the Special Operation of Narcotics Suppression Centre, Amphur Sattahip, together with Sattahip police to inspect an online game shop called “Game Hak Dib 2” after the shop allowed students to play online games before the specified time. The officers arrested Mr. Sitthidech or Golf Tim-in, aged 24, who was a shop owner.

The arrest was due after local people of Sattahip had complained that the shop was allowing students, teenagers and children to assemble inside to play online games. The officials then sent an undercover agent in to play games who took videos and photographs for evidence. They then tried to raid the shop but the owner quickly closed it with 2 students and 3 teenagers under the age of 18 inside the shop. The officials then had to negotiate with the shop owner for almost an hour until he opened it and let them in.

Upon questioning one of the teenagers he revealed that every day there are students from various schools who go there to play games instead of going to school and they changed their clothes so the owner doesn’t know they are students and would change back into their uniforms before going home.
