Si Racha- December 10, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News] Pol.Capt.Udom Koykep-inspector of Si Racha police station- was notified by Mr Arun Jitpirom aged 79 that he was fooled by land agents and lost  600,000 baht. The gang took the money after he withdrew it from a Kasikorn bank.

Mr.Arun said that he met some  agents at his house who showed him a deed to some land and  offered him  3% commission if the land was sold. So he told them that he knew where the land was but  didn’t know who owned it so they all went to inspect it.

When they were on the way to the land there was a woman crossing the road who was one of the gang members. They then asked the woman if she knew the owner or not and she said yes so she took them to the land owner.

While they were negotiating, the woman who claimed that she was the land owner called another capitalist and claimed that someone else also wanted to buy the land. Later another man arrived approximately 30 years old and he had bought  500,000 baht with him and claimed that he was the real land owner.

The land owner said that this land was around 5 Rais and she would sell for 30 million baht but the deed had been mortgaged in a gold shop for 1,100,000 baht if he wanted  to buy it. However the man brought just 500,000 baht and he needed 600,000 baht.

Mr.Arun said that he needed the commission fee because he didn’t need to do anything so he allowed him to borrow the money. Later they all went to withdraw the money before going to the gold shop. After  he withdrew the money  they told him to copy the documents. Suddenly the gang  fled the scene.

He added that when he came out the shop they had gone and he realized that he had been tricked.

Pol.Capt.Udom said that the police now were hunting the villains and  they had  collected all the CCTV on the roads that the villains used to escape.
