Officials Raid Entertainment Spots

Banglamung public authorities mobilized forces to raid various entertainment spots all over Pattaya.

PATTAYA – December 23 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at Pattaya City Hall, Mr. Chakhon Kanjanawatta (Banglamung sheriff) had commanded Flying Officer Phorraphit Jitramwong (Deputy District Chief of Suppression Division), Mr. Praphan Prathoomchoomphu (Head of Security Division), Mr. Phichet Tharmhon (Deputy District Chief of Amphur Banglamung), Pol.Lt.Col. Saranyaphong Maithongkulthorn (Inspector of Pattaya city, Chon Buri province) inspected all entertainment spots all over Pattaya city. They also inspected various convenience stores that sold liquor and cigarettes to underage youths.


The officials found that The Volume Pub and Karaoke shop and Sure! shop had allowed underaged teenagers. The 2 shops will now be closed by the Chon Buri provincial under Section 44 for 5 years.

Moreover, the officials also found that Ban Lak 4 shop and Barbie Drink and Food shop were charged with allegations of selling liquor after hours specified by the law. Besides, the officials also arrested some convenience store workers in in Soi Bua Khao that sold liquor to teenagers.


Initially, the officials detained all caretakers of the shops to be investigated further at Banglamung District Office before sending them to the inquiry official of Pattaya city police station for further prosecution according to the Thai law.
