Officials Crack Down on Capitalists

The Chonburi governor and officers have cracked down a group of capitalists who had taken over a piece of public land and extorted the villagers.

SATTAHIP – January 21,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; Mr.Komsan Aekachai- governor of Chonburi- met the leaders of Chongsamaesarn village in order to discuss a land problem. It was attended by Mr.Prasert Pitakkorn- mayor of Chongsamaesarn-, Pol.Col.Metawit Praditpol- superintendent of Sattahip police station-, Mr.Pramote Thowsakul- director of fishery association.

Mr.Komsan revealed that there are several things that the officers have to deal with such as insufficient power, no dumpsite, etc. However, the governor met the leaders in order to discuss the land after some capitalists had invaded the local area to construct the resort or business.

He added that the villagers have been helped by the Navy who have provided land for the villagers; meanwhile, the power authority would be responsible for the power supply for the land. In addition, the Navy official should prosecute the capitalists who invade and seize the public place for private use.

VADM.Wipak Noichinda- commander of Sattahip Navy- revealed that the officers intended to sort the situation. On January 22nd , the Navy officers would assemble with marine department, department of land, Sattahip administrative officers and police to crack down on the capitalists.

 

Initially, the officers has clamped down on 3 operators already. The Navy official announced that the operation will only prosecute the operators who had broken the law.
