Officers Clamp Down On Illegal Labourers

Administrative officers clamped down on fishing operators after they found that some alien labourers illegally fished in this restricted area.

PATTAYA – February 4,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 09.00 am Mr.Chakorn Kanjanawatta-chief district of Bang Lamung-, Mr.Prapan Pratumchomphu-deputy chief of stabilization division- and fishing management officers to inspect a small fishing boat in Bang Lamung bay after they were complained that aliens had been seen conducting fishing in a conserved water area.

 

Upon inspecting they found several small fishing boats in the water and on the shore line. Later the officers inspected 11 small boats and they found 5 boats that had no fishing permission. In addition, they caught 6 Cambodian labourers who were in Thailand illegally.

 

Mr.Chakorn revealed that the operation was according to Policy of Chonburi governor after he ordered the officers to arrest the alien labourers who had fished in the restricted area and crack down on all alien labourers who illegally stayed in Thailand. In addition, the officers will arrest the operators if they found any wrongdoings.
