Offenders Apprehended for Shooting in Fake Pub, Pattaya

Gang members responsible for the shooting and death of a young man in the Fake Pub and Restaurant on 3rd July2010, have been apprehended and will now face prosecution.

Pattaya 5th August [Pattaya Daily News] Following the case of the shooting in the toilets of the Fake Pub and Restaurant in Pattaya on the 3rd July 2010 of Mr. Theerat Trakaew [19] a 2nd year student of the Technique College in Sattahip, from Nongprue, who died, the hearing was held yesterday on the 4th August.

The progress report was revealed by Police Liutenant Colonel Natthawut Suwanla-ong, a Pattaya Superintendent and his team. The officer had escorted the suspects, Mr. Mana Phumma ‘Jud Baan Ampher’ [22] in the white shirt who is the gang leader from Hauy Yai, Mr. Witthawat Tarnjaren [18] in the black shirt, (who was responsible for the victims death), from Nongprue, Mr. Ole Sophon [19], Mr. Nirut Lopyaem [21], Mr. Egkachai Deering [27], Mr. Amnaj Nakjamnong [22] and Mr. Phichet Buntuk [19] to a meeting with the deceased mans’ family at the scene of the crime.

Around 30 minutes later, the 20 officers had to separate the relatives from the gang as they tried to attack the offenders.

Mr. Jud Baan Ampher confessed under interrogation that on the day of the incident, he and his friends gathered in the Fake pub. His girlfriend told him that the deceased, who was drunk, had molested her on her way to the toilet.

Feeling annoyed with this information he and Mr. Tarnjarern followed the victim to the toilet where he was shot after a confrontation.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Suwanla-ong stated that the investigating officer tracked down the offenders who were known to be gang members in Sattahip, hiding in a friends’ house in Bangsaen. Mr. Jud was later found to have been involved in the deaths and assaults of other people in the past.

The guilty party is now being held for further judicial proceedings.

Brazen Shooting Incident Results in Death at Pattaya Nightclub

A brazen shooting incident at a Pattaya pub on Friday night has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man. At present police are unaware of the motive for the murder and the offender is yet to be positively identified.
