Nong Nooch Invites Tourists To Join “Maha Songkran With Blooming Flowers”

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya has cooperated with the Local Administration to arrange a Songkran festival under the slogan “Maha Songkran with Blooming Flowers at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya” at the Butterfly Hill activity square.

SATTAHIP – April 7, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Dr. Kamphon Tansajja (Director of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya) revealed that for the Songkran festival this year, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya cooperated with the Local Administration to arrange the great Songkran festival of this year under the slogan “Maha Songkran with Blooming Flowers at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya” at the Butterfly Hill activity square. There will a parade of cars with blossoms and Si Hing Buddha image for the tourists to sprinkle (pour) water onto to plead for the Buddha’s blessing. Furthermore, there will be over 20 elephants to join with the water splashing to make a colourful and joyful Songkran festival that will be held during April 12-18, 2014.

Songkran with Blooming Flowers” festival at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya is the selling point of Pattaya city’s tourism and Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province, which thousands of foreign tourists take part in each year. This festival is regarded as the inheritance of Thai tradition and culture to let the foreigner know about the Thai style of living. In the past Songkran festival has attracted many tourists generating a lot of revenue.

Mr. Jiraphruet Sodornphermphoonlarp (Sales and marketing manager of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya) said that although recently the public health had warned the tourists about splashing water on the elephants during Songkran festival because the elephants use their trunks to spout water may cause disease or infect from the elephants which Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya confirms that Dr. Kamphon Tansajja (Director of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya) has concerns with this matter and he always provides a check-up (health inspection / medical/physical examination) for every elephants and they have their trunks cleaned by veterinarians so the elephants are germ free.
