Police commander revealed that the police officers had been notified from many hoteliers in Pattaya during August-September 2015 that a group of African rented a room in their hotel and they robbed other guests. Later the police officers had investigated the case before they asked the court order to release arrest warrant on them.

On March 25, the officers found out that Jaho and his two friends were in a hotel behind Tukcom, South Pattaya; therefore, the officers rushed to catch them in the hotel. However, they could flee away and hid in Samutprakarn province so the officers had to suddenly follow and hunt them because they were afraid that these Nigerian people flee again.
