Pattaya, the 30th of November 2009 [Pattaya Daily News]: Police Captain Jamras Thongjinda (investigator with the Pattaya police), had organised – in conjunction with undercover agents – to set-up a meeting with a suspected drug dealer Mr. Ndukaku Ikani age 29, from Nigeria. The deal was arranged and police proceeded to the meeting point to arrest Mr Ikani.

The meeting point was to be in front of the P.N. Inn on Moo 10 Walking Street, South Pattaya. Police had previously received information from an unknown source that Mr Ikani was a major drug dealer in the Pattaya area purchasing his drugs from Bangkok before heading south to on-sell the product at a higher price to foreigners. Police officers went to the meet and apprehended Mr. Ikani in possession of 2.82 grams of methamphetamine, a small quantity of marijuana and 6,000 baht in cash.

During a brief interview at the scene Mr Ikani admitted to selling the drugs and informed police that he had been purchasing the drugs from a man in Bangkok before he would head to Pattaya in order to sell the drugs to foreigners.

Mr. Ikani has been arrested and taken back to the Pattaya police station, where he will be charged with possession and sale of class-1 and class-5 restricted drugs. Police investigators will also continue to interrogate him in the hopes that they can identify and catch other members of the drug ring.
