Nigerian Fraud Gang Arrested In Pattaya

Pattaya police made a statement about the arrest of a Nigerian fraud gang after they had tricked Thai girls out of money via Facebook.

PATTAYA – November 12,2014 [Pattaya Daily News] at 14.00 pm Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-acting superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Chinnawat Sisawas-deputy superintenent-, Pol.Lt.Col.Chitdecha Songhong-deputy superintendent- and Pol.Lt.Jung Wongjan-depity inspector- made a statement about the arrest of 4 suspects which consisted of Mr.Anthony Chibuike Chukwu aged 33, Mr.Charles Ikenna Nnadi aged 29, Mr.Henry Onukwube Nwigwe aged 27 and Mr.Martins Chimezie Nnenna aged 30 who were all from Nigeria. They were arrested after they had tricked Thai girls into transferring money to them.

 

Previously the police found out that the gang had fooled Thai girls by pretending to be billionaires on Facebook. Later they fooled the victims that they traveled to Thailand and they brought a lot of money but they couldn’t pass a customs checkpoint because they needed to pay the tax in baht. They were finally arrested in a room in Pattaya.

 

However the police officers prosecuted them for illegal immigration and fraud.
