PATTAYA – July 11, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; A picture was shown on a recent newscast of Pattaya policemen gathered around a dice gambling game. Pol.Lt.Col.Kirtisak Srathong-oi said he had already seen the picture and accepted that the policemen were from the Pattaya police station. From the way they were wearing their uniforms, they appeared to be on duty, Pol.Lt.Col.Kirtisak said, and it might be they were checking evidence after returning from a gambling arrest.

But if they were actually on duty and playing dice and gambling, and it was in a government office, they will be punished strictly, he said. But at first glance, Pol.Lt.Col Kirtisak said it appears to be that the policemen were examining and testing evidence from a gambling arrest.

As for the news station that broadcasted the picture, Pol.Lt.Col. Kirtisak said that he hoped it was done with the good intention of helping the police to re-examine their procedures and to perform their jobs honestly. If the photo was really related to a criminal case, he will need to see all the photos that were taken and will examine all the facts to find the truth.
