New Chonburi Senator Chao Maneewongse

Voters turned up in small numbers at the election of Conburi Senator approximately 38.94% of the voters who have the right to vote. The candidate # 7 Chao Maneewongse got the highest points of 88,301, Chonburi Election Committee is preparing to guarantee officially its result.

          The election was held on 16 October in order to replace a former senator, Wirot Amatakulchai, who passed away. There were seven candidates #1 Krarim Phichaikul, #2 Vichien Tangthammasatit, #3 Thanet Songthanavongse, #4 Sarancha Sricholvatana, #5 Kasem Hluangoon, #6 Sanay Somsri, and # 7 Chao Maneewongse.

          The atmosphere of the election since the openning of the ballot-boxes at 08:00 am., the voters turned up in small numbers especially unit of election #19-21 Moo 5 of T.Naklua at Muang Pattaya school # 9 as well as unit # 30-33 Baan Rodfai School where has 4 units of election of Moo 5 and Moo 6 of T.Nong Prue. Unit # 26-28 at Wat Boon Sampan School is also rare voters. However, the unit of election # 43 at TAT Central Pattaya, Moo 9 of T.Nong Prue, Member of Parliament for Chonburi Zone 6 Chanyuth Hengtrakul to exercise his right to vote before took his family to exercise their right to vote at unit # 26 at Muang Pattaya School # 5.

          There were continually voters come to vote even it is not busily like before. The ballot-boxes of each unit of election were shut at 15:00 pm. Later they were sent to Chonburi for counting the points. Apparently, the candidate # 7 Chao Maneewongse got the highest points of 88,301 and #2 Vichien Tangthammasatit is runner-up got 45,251 points and the third is #5 Kasem Hluangoon got 41,285 points. It was 38.94% of 321,798 voters, 27,054 of non-stamped ballots and 6,739 of waste ballots. Eventually, the ballots will be checked by Chonburi Election Committee before official announcement.
