“Mine Host,” Mr. David Morrison, who is the gallery’s Manager/Owner, was delighted to show us the many fine pieces of his art-work display, some of which were purchased on the opening night.

There were plenty of fine collectables on display, ranging from Buddhist items of religious significance, paintings, ceramics, fine wood crafted products and a wide range of replica models of most of the old sailing ships from years gone by, were of particular interest.

These are hand made by a team of highly skilled craftsmen under the direction of the other partner in the “Pan Asia Gallery’” Mr. Jean Luc. Even though Jean is of French origin, he spent over 20 years in the US Police Department, and has worked for various government security organizations in Asia. He has an intimate knowledge of Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma and Laos, and is an absolute “treasure trove of knowledge,” when it comes to antiquities or collectables in S.E. Asia.

The food and wine flowed on into the night, to make this official opening a very nice cultural event, and the highlight of the evening was when David Morrison personally presented a 50,000 baht cheque to Sharron Diamente, from the Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC).

This was a very nice gesture on the part of David and the “Pan-Asia Gallery” for the needy children in the Pattaya region, and he wisely selected the PILC as the ideal organization to decide on the beast distribution of these donation funds. This is real charity at home, and we wish David, Jean-Luc and their “Pan-Asia Gallery” every success in the future.
