National Athlete Crashes Into Pop-Up Bistro

A national sailing athlete who lost control of his car on a curve in the road crashed into 5 motorcycles and a pop up bistro. He told police that he apologies for the accident and will also pay for the damage to all the motorbikes and the bistro.

SATTAHIP – August 14, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 00.30 am Pol.Capt.Saijai Khamjulla-inspector of Sattahip police station- was notified that a truck had crashed into a pop-up bistro in Sattahip (district near Pattaya) and there were many injured. After notification the police officers were accompanied with Sawang Rojjana Thamma Satharn rescue team who rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene was on the footpath in front of commercial building, the officers found a brown Mitsubishi Triton truck that had crashed into 5 motorcycles in front of a pop-up bistro. In addition there was a lot of property which had been damaged in the accident. Also there were 3 injured identified as a Mr.Keerati (Top) Bualong 22 who was a national sailing athlete and he was slightly injured, Mr.Kridsada Suankaew aged 39 and Mr.Ubonrat Rattana aged 22. Therefore the officers sent them to Queen Sirikit hospital.

Upon questioning Mr.Keerati told the police that he was on his way back to the athletic camp in Sattahip when he lost on a curve in the road crashing into the bistro and the parked motorcycles. Initially he did apologised for his mistake and he said he will compensate the people whose property he had damaged.
