Na Jomtien Drug Dealer Captured Hiding in Luxurious House

Na Jomtien police, cooperating with local officers blocked a suspect’s luxury village’s entrance in order to apprehend him successfully. A huge amount of evidence were found.

Pattaya, 19th February 2011[Pattaya Daily News] At approximately 10.00 am, a police task force from Na Jomtien led by Superintendent Col Kietphong Namla, in conjunction with a team of local officers led by Mr. Somsak Thapklad, Na Jomtien Sub-district Village Head to arrest Mr. Narit Sawang (28) from Khon Kaen, a class one (Ya-Ba; Ya-Ice) drug possessor. The suspect was captured in illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Several items were impounded for evidence.

A police informant reported that Mr. Sawang was selling and using drugs from his rented residence at Butsaba Village number 69/8, Moo 11, Huai Yai, Banglamung and that it was also being used as a drug den by his customers. Accordingly, the team set up a check point to block the village’s entrance. The suspect was discovered riding a black-orange Honda Click motorbike attempting to escape the village when he was captured.

On bodily search, 3 bags of Ya-Ba containing 602 pills in total and a bag of 1 gram Ya-Ice were discovered hidden in his carrying bag. On searching his house, a further 4 bags of Ya-ice 4 gram in weight as well as a Thai Pradit Shotgun containing 3 bullets were found in the bedroom. Mr. Sawang admitted that all evidence belonged to him. The drugs had been obtained from an agent in Pattaya city called “Mr. Sayum” or “Kai” and a Miss Sor in order to sell for local minor dealers and drug users.

Mr. Sawang has been detained in custody to await prosecution.
