PATTAYA – September 10, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]: at 10 a.m. a report of a skeleton being found was received by Pol. Lt. Col. Jiwatpong Ruengdee, detective officer of Banglamung police station, sub-branch Nong Prue.

He rushed to the scene with police forces and the rescue team from Sawang Boriboon foundation Pattaya.

The building was located at the top of soi Sukhumwit 87, moo 13, Nong Prue, Banglamung. The scene was the roof of the 4-story building, divided in rooms for renting.

The skeleton had been found on the top deck. Next to the skeleton was a cloth bag that contained soiled children’s clothes, and a joss stick stuck inside.

At first police could not determine whether the many pieces of bones belonged to human or animal, so the skeleton was sent to the Royal Thai police hospital in Bangkok to examine at the forensic division.

Police questioned the man who discovered the skeleton, Mr. Chokechai Sornrord, who lives on the building’s second floor. Mr. Chokechai said he had come up to the top deck for a walk, and found the pile of skeleton bones laid on the floor, so he called the police.

A possible clue to the skeletal remains was provided by Mrs. Nongnuch Yeeseng, age 40, who lives in a nearby building.

She told police that about two years ago, a Thai man about 40 years old had brought his 2 daughters, ages 2 and 3, and begged the owner to live here because his gas-installing business had failed.

Mrs. Nongnuch also heard that the man’s youngest daughter got really sick, but she did pay attention to him after that.

She said the man disappeared with his daughters. She had no idea where he was living until this skeleton was found.
