PATTAYA – August 8, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 15.30 pm reporters revealed that there was a lot of traffic congestion on the Sukhumvit road in Na Jomtien (district near Pattaya) due to machinery working on the right lane. Plus there was a large fire that the officers had lit to burn off excess rubbish. The smoke from the fire caused traffic chaos because the driver’s visibility was considerably reduced.

On the road was a truck from Na Jomtien municipal office and the work men hadn’t installed any warning signs to warn people of the road works. Also the work men had burnt the rubbish in the central reservation instead of collecting it up and disposing of it properly. As a result of the burning the smoke from the fire a lot of traffic chaos was caused. In the future they need to put up warning signs and collect the rubbish up and dispose of it properly rather than just burning it causing danger to drivers.
