Upon questioning Mr.Wanchai he confessed to collecting the money but he hadn’t forced them because he had collected it for a long time. He insisted that he already told the riders to register at Pattaya City Hall but they still paid him.

Mr.Pongthasit revealed that the Pattaya officials had continuously intensified on controlling the motorcycle taxi after the NCPO had ordered them to. Later someone notified them that Mr.Wanchai was still extorting money out of riders therefore the officials and soldiers needed to arrest him. Initially the officers suspended his motorcycle taxi riding licence indefinitely and prosecuted him in act of extortion.
