Motorcycle Rider Killed In Collision With Pick-up Truck

The speeding pick-up truck collided with a motorcycle rider, who died later in the hospital

Suttahip, 1 May 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: at 8.50 a.m. Police Captain, Teetat Tharunjan (Inquiry Official of Suttahip Police Department, Chonburi) was informed of a collision between a pick-up truck and a motorbike occurring on Sukhumvit Road near Ban Tao Tan Intersection in Moo 4, Suttahip. Captain Teetat hurried to the scene with Sawangrojanadhammasathan Foundation Rescue Team.

At the incident, a red and grey crashed Honda Wave motorbike was found situated at approximately 100 metres away from the victim’s body.

Karnchai Sirimeesanga, 35, was in a critical condition as his face was covered in blood, while his arms and legs were severely grazed.
The victim was taken to the hospital immediately but unfortunately he did not make it, the police said.

The police reported that the deceased victim previously worked as a Flight Sergeant in First Class.

Thanachai Punpetch, the driver of Isuzu pick-up truck, confessed that his speeding truck could not stop in time when he saw the victim’s motorbike approaching from the side-street.

Thanachai was arrested for speeding and reckless driving that killed a motorcycle rider.

The police continued questioning witnesses for further information about the accident.
