Motorbike Taxi Rider Shoots Himself To Death

A Pattaya motorbike taxi rider shot himself in the head whilst in his rented room with his girlfriend. The police believe the cause of the incident was because he was stressed about personal problems.

PATTAYA – January 23, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 5.00 a.m. Pol. Lt. Yutthaphol Boonkerd (Investigation police on duty of Banglamung police station, Chonburi province) was notified that there was a Thai man who had shot himself to death in a rented room Soi Nong Yai 14, Moo 6 Tambon Na Kluea, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect the crime scene together with Pol. Lt. Nopphadol Inthasorn (Deputy Inspector), and the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Pattaya foundation.

At the incident was a 1 storey rented row house where a Ms. Nawaphorn Thaewphan, aged 40, was crying with shock. She told the police that her boyfriend had used a gun to shoot himself to death. Once the officers entered the room they found the corpse of Mr. Sarawooth Saensila or Wooth, aged 43, Nong Khai resident. He was a motorbike taxi rider in Soi Na Kluea 16 near Long Beach hotel. The officers found that Mr. Sarawooth (the deceased) had used a .38 gun and to shot himself in the right temple.

Ms. Nawaphorn Thaewphan (the girlfriend of the deceased) said that she had only been seeing Mr. Sarawooth since December last year and he was stressed about not seeing his daughter and that the debt collectors had sent him letters about his debts. Before the incident occurred they had just come back from their friend’s birthday party then Mr. Sarawooth murmured that he was so stress with his debts but his girlfriend told him to sleep because it was almost morning,then Mr. Sarawooth used a screw driver to lever the back off a loudspeaker cabinet then took out a gun that he had hidden inside, suddenly he pointed the gun at his temple and shot himself.

The police assumed that the cause of Mr. Sarawooth shooting himself to death might be because he had a lot of personal problems. Initially, the police made note to record the incident and took the eyewitnesses details then sent the corpse to perform autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
