Motorbike Taxi Rider Collides with Oncoming Car

A motorbike taxi rider who was carrying a passenger and was riding on the wrong side of the road crashed into an oncoming car. The rider and passenger were injured.

PATTAYA-May 18, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];-at 04.00 am. Sawang Borriboon Thammasatharn rescue team was notified that there was a traffic accident near the beginning of Soi 17, 3rd Pattaya road, central Pattaya and there were 2 injured. They notified the police and immediately rushed to the scene.

At the scene there were 2 injured people on the ground who were identified as Mr.Penthawee Fuktin 40 year old a motorcycle taxi rider with scratches and wounds on his body and a Ms.Aree KraiJaroon 30 year old who had sustained an injury to her left knee and right leg. The rescue team performed first aid before sending them to Bang Lamung Hospital. A Honda Wave Motorcycle and a broken alcohol bottle were found near the scene.

About 20 meters away from the scene the police found a white Toyota Vios car with a broken wing mirror. Ms Pennapha Jarat aged 25 who was the car owner revealed that she was driving back home with her foreign husband when the motorbike taxi came towards them on the wrong side of the road and hit the wing mirror causing them fall off the motorbike.
