Motorbike Stolen By Neighbour

A Thai man has had his motorbike stolen by another Thai man who lived in the same apartment, the thief took the motorbike and parked it at Big C before returning back to the apartment on a motorbike taxi.

PATTAYA – May 3,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.30 p.m., Pol.Col. Winai Sanitphan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province) was notified by Mr. Noppharat Padkhunthod, aged 20, a resident of Amphur Ban Khwao, Chaiyaphum province, that he had parked his motorbike at the Pradabyart apartment, Soi Sukhumvit – Pattaya 42 (Soi Nok Khao), central Pattaya, which it had been stolen by a thief who might had lived in the same apartment. Therefore, Pol.Col. Winai and a police team rushed to inspect at scene.

 

At the scene the police found Mr. Noppharat and his girlfriend were standing to wait for the police. Mr. Noppharat told the police that before incident occurred he had parked his white Honda Zoomer X motorbike, license no. 1 Kor Phor – 1737 Chon Buri, in front of the apartment. He said that he had chained his bike up and went into his apartment but when he returned to it a few hours later it had gone. He questioned some people in the area and they said that that a man wearing a yellow T-shirt with a cropped pants who lived in the same apartment rode off on the motorbike. Therefore, Mr. Noppharat called the police.

A few moments later the police found a male suspect who had a similar appearance to the suspect walking down the stairs of the apartment so the police detained him. He was identified as Mr. Weeraphan Phaengphiphat, aged 29. Initially, Mr. Weeraphan said that he did not steal Mr. Noppharat’s motorbike but said that he had only borrowed a pair of pliers from his friend to check the oil on his motor bike.

 

Shortly afterwards, an eyewitness told the police that he saw Mr. Weeraphan take the bike and parked it at Big C department store, south Pattaya, then he came back to the apartment by motorbike taxi. Therefore, the police took Mr. Noppharat (a victim) to Big C where they found his stolen motorbike so the police seized it for evidence.

 

They then arrested Mr.Weeraphan and sent him to the police station be investigated further before being prosecuted according to the Thai law.
