Motorbike Jumps Red Light

A Thai man has been hit by a pickup truck after he decided to jump a red light on the Sukhumvit road in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – September 19th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.30 a.m., Pol.Capt. Thitiwat Boon-on (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province) was notified that there was an accident involving a pick-up truck and a motorbike. The accident took place at the Thepprasit intersection on the Sukhumvit road.

 

At the scene the officers found an injured Thai male aged 35-40 unconscious on the road. The officers then performed first aid on him before sending him to Banglamung hospital. Also at the scene they found a red and black Honda Wave motorbike which had been hit by a bronze Toyota Vigo pick-up truck that was being driven by Mr. Tharmmarong Arooncharoenrat, aged 37.

Upon questioning him he told police that the traffic lights were on green and he was driving as normal when a the motor bike jumped the red light in front of him, he tried to brake but couldn’t stop in time and hit the motorbike.

 

Initially, Pol.Capt. Thitiwat Boon-on (Inquiry official of Pattaya City police station) took photos for evidence and will inspect the CCTVs in the area so the wrongdoer can be prosecuted.
