Motorbike Duo Snatch Russians Gold Necklace

A Russian tourist who was out walking with friends had his gold necklace snatched by 2 teenagers riding a motorbike. They fled the scene but were quickly caught by police.

PATTAYA – December 26, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 00:10 am, a journalist reported that Pol.Capt. Vishnu Chaisuwarn, vice detective inspector, Maugn Pattaya police station, Chonburi ,was notified that, there a case were a tourist property had been snatched at the top of soi 5-6, Pratamnak Road, south Pattaya Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue , Banglamung, Chonburi, so the police went to inspect the scene.

At the crime scene, they found Mr.Ivan Alexcev, 25 year old Russian tourist, waiting with his friends. He said that while he was walking out of his hotel to go for a walk with friends suddenly two Thai teenage boys riding on a black and white, Honda MSX motorbike, no license plate came up from behind and the passenger snatched his gold necklaces which cost about 70,000 baht and fled the scene.

Later the police reported informed other police through the radio the description of the two thieves and they were arrested in front of Rungrueang tour, Pattaya – Suvarnabhumi, Tappraya Rd. before the Grand Condo -3 way junction, crossed with Tepprasit, south Pattaya. His name was Mr.Pichit Patchakheao, 19 years old from Srisaket, the snatcher, and Mr.Natchapol Sukjit, 19 years old, from Chacherngsao, the rider. The police searched their bodies and found the stolen gold necklace and the police seized it as evidence.

The two confessed that they had snatched the necklace and did it to use the money to buy drugs. The police then arrested the 2 thieves and sent them to the police station along with the evidence to be prosecuted according to Thai law.
