Police from the Sriracha police station were notified of the incident at 10:00 am at 32/131 Moo 6, Bang Pra. At the scene officers discovered Mrs. Viphaporn Jaila (23) lying on the blood soaked floor with severe wounds to her head and throat inflicted by a meat cleaver. Volunteers from the Sawang Pratheep Foundation rushed her to hospital but she died on the way.

In the bathroom officers found the body of 2 year old Tharin Jitsanguansuk lying motionless, but still alive, on the floor with severe head wounds. Parts of her brain were exposed. From the traces of hair and blood police said it appeared the baby’s head had been battered on the bathroom floor. The husband and father of the deceased, Mr. Narakorn Jitsanguan (27), who worked for a printing company, soon arrived at the scene and held his daughter’s body. The baby died on the way to hospital.

Mr. Narakorn informed police that 30.000 baht had gone missing and police assume this may be a motive for the attack. However, the victim was very attractive and the motive may have been sexual.

Police have promised to expedite their investigations to bring this brutal murderer to justice.
