Monsoon Rain Caused Flooding in Sattahip

Monsoon rain has caused flooding in homes and roads in Sattahip. The flooding caused traffic chaos which was returned back to normal around 7pm.

SATTAHIP – October 28, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 5.00 p.m., journalists reported that in area of Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province it had been affected by the south Chinese sea monsoon which caused heavy rainfall flooding houses and roads.

Journalists had inspected the areas that had been affected most which were Ban Tao Tarn community road in the area of Jed Roi Rai market fair to Soi Khao Phet .There were over 50 houses that had about 1 meter of flood water inside and the roads next to the houses had also been flooded. Also the area in front of Sing Samut School was also flooded but was still passable by traffic.

Initially, Mr. Narong Boonbanjerdsri (Mayor of Mueang Sattahip) had come to control the public disaster mitigation by bringing officers to coordinate with the police in controlling the traffic and assisting people and also brought fire trucks to pump water out of the flooded areas and said that around 7pm the roads should be back to normal.
