Money Exchange Owner RobbedA money exchange shop owner was hit over the head and robbed of 600,000 baht as head walked down the street.
PATTAYA-25 July- [PattayaDailyNews] at 02.00 am Pol.Maj.Col.Pitak Nernsaeng- inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a money exchange shop owner was robbed of 600,000 baht. After notification the police officers rushed to inspect the scene.
At the scene the police officers found Mr Sitthichok Charoenpipatsin aged 57 who had sustained a head injury from the attack and was unconscious. The rescue team performed first aid on him before sending him to Bang Lamung hospital.
After questioning the security guard of a nearby apartment he revealed that he heard people shouting and arguing so he went to inspect and found the man unconscious on the floor.
Upon inspecting the scene the officers found a plastic bag and a metal stick so the police took them for evidence. The police officers initially expected that there were 2-3 men and they had planned the crime well before committing it. They had waited for the victim to walk past before hitting him over the head knocking him unconscious. They then fled the scene with his bag which contained foreign money valued about 600,000 baht.
The police officers had set the special team to investigate the crime to inspect the CCTV near the crime scene to find the identity of the robbers.
