April 21, 2013, at 2:30 p.m., a report that the body of a Hungarian murder victim had been located was received by Pol. Lt. Gen. Yongyuth Charernwanich, Commission section 8, together with Pol. Maj. Gen. Kietphong Khaosamarng, Commander, Suratthani province and the forensic officers.

They went to inspect the house, Rock Samui, which is a luxury house on Chaweng hill, Moo 6 Tambon Borphood, Amphur Koh Samui.

The officers got the report from Pol. Col. Vittaya Wangdarn, Superintendent, Borphood police station, who had been informed of the location of the buried corpse of Mr. Chaipai Laszio, age 37, a former real estate businessman and Hungarian millionaire.

Mr. Chaipai was taken away from Koh Samui airport by a mafia type gang on February 17, 2011, and was killed and buried in the earth beneath the luxury house.

Waiting for the police at the scene were the house caretaker, Mr. Boodha, age 38, nationality Hungarian, along with the Hungarian private detective. Mr. Boodha said that he takes care of the house for Mr. Chapai when he would do real estate business on Koh Samui.

Recently, Mr. Boodha was informed by the private detective that buried under the ground beneath the storage room was the corpse of Mr. Chapai, so he notified the police.

Officers discovered that the ground floor of the storage room beneath the house was covered with cement and iron. Workers from the Koh Samui merit foundation were commanded to dig underground for 4 meters, until they found the skeleton buried under the earth. The officers brought the skeleton to the forensic officers and the doctor from Koh Samui hospital to inspect.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Yongyuth said that the finding of the corpse of Hungarian businessman was through the investigative work of the private detective from Hungary, who was hired from the family of Mr. Chaipai to find him, after he was taken away from Koh Samui airport in 2011.

The private detective had cooperated with Hungarian police until he found a likely suspect named “Mr. Mata,” who used to work with Mr. Chaipai. So the police restrained him to investigate until Mr. Mata confessed to the murder. He wrote a map for the private detective to come to Koh Samui to dig up the skeleton of Mr. Chaipai.

From the information gathered by the private detective, he knew that Mr. Chapai came to do real estate business on Koh Samui, and there was a Mr. David Moche and Mr. Mata who were business associates.

However, after having a severe conflict, Mr. David and Mr. Mata planned to kill Mr. Chapai. First they hired workers to dig underground below the storage room beneath the house, where they planned to bury Mr. Chapai. Then they deceived Mr. Chapai to lure him to this house, in order to negotiate some business.

Then Mr. David Moche used a hard object to hit the head of Mr. Chapai violently until he died immediately. Mr. David and Mr. Mata then dumped the corpse in the excavated area, and covered it with cement to serve as the ground floor of the storage room. Then they separated to escape.

Mr. David Moche was later arrested in Bangkok by Thai police for another crime. Mr. Mata escaped to Hungary, and was finally arrested in the beginning of April this year.

The reporter discovered that after Mr. Chaipai first disappeared, his Thai wife notified the police that at the time her husband had a conflict with Mr. David Moche, the head of mafia type gang in the Koh Samui area.

In response, the police went to inspect the Rock Samui house once, but didn’t find any evidence. The case became inactive, until the relatives of Mr. Chaipai hired the private detective to find his corpse.

However, the police sent the skeleton to the Police hospital to analyze and confirm that it is the body of Mr. Chaipai, before releasing it to the relatives to perform religious rites.
