Miss Mexico shared a nervous emotional hug with first runner-up, Mr. Prativia Monticallo from Philippines, moments before the winner was announced, then clasped her hands to her mouth in amazement as her name was called. She had a smile from ear to ear as the crown was placed upon her head.

The finalists were given different question, they came up with excellent answers, they had the same objective and they were all looking forward to continue the pageant‘s mission of promoting awareness and education about AIDS and HIV.

Mr.Ericka Andrew, from Mexico, the new “Miss International Queen 2006” received the winning prizes, a diamond crown, a sash and a cash price of 8,000 $US.

First runner up was Mr. Prativia Monticallo from Philippines, her winning prize include a sash and cash price of 3,000 $US.

Second runner up was Ratrawee Chirapraphakun, 22, from Thailand, who received a sash and cash money of 2,000 $US

The event had been a great success in co-operation with the Tiffany‘s Show Pattaya Co., Ltd one of the most famous all-male cabaret theaters, Pattaya City and Tourism Authority of Thailand. Contestants for this year were different nationalities including Malaysia, Egypt, Philippine, Mexico, Australia, USA, and Japan.

Miss International Queen Winner is required to perform the duties for one full year. Half of the winning cash prize will be paid on October 28, 2006 and the remaining half will be paid at the end of the reign.
If the Miss International Queen Winner is not able to fulfill and perform her duties for any reason, the first runner-up will take her place and be awarded the remaining prizes.

The Miss International Queen Winner must stay in Thailand for at least 15 days after the contest and return to Thailand 15 days before the end of the reign to perform her duties and represent the crown in order to receive the remaining prizes.

Ratrawee, from Thailand, who looked the most stunning and convincing, then she looked a little bit disappointed as her dream of being the second Miss International Queen from Thailand didn’t come through. If one could remember  “Nong Poy”, the winner of Miss International Queen 2004 has stunned the world with her beauty that left some of the real-girls in doubt and last year the blond hair transvestite lady Mini Marks was crowned Miss International Queen 2005 under strong critics that this was the first time an Asian transvestite lady has lost the title to a blond.

“What about the saying, ’Thailand is supposed to have the most beautiful transvestites and transsexuals in the world’ “ , may be he looks too much like a ‘she’.
