Minor Drug Bust Spearheads Major Seizure in Chon-Buri

Chon-Buri Region 2 police on Thursday revealed the successful apprehension of a major drug dealing network operating in the province. During the course of investigations police confiscated over 145,000 pills of Ya-Ba, arresting 5 suspects.

Chon-Buri, the 1st of July 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: Major General Kittiphong Ngaomuk (Chon-Buri Region 2 Commissioner) revealed the successful completion of investigations on a provincial drug dealing network from the Chon-Buri regional headquarters on Thursday.

Arrested in the operation were, Mr. Worawut Kesaneeyabut [25], Miss Sudaphorn Maknuk [25] and minors Mr. Game, Mr. Mud, and Mr. J. All five offenders have been charged with colluding in a large scale drug distribution network and possession and distribution of a class-1 restricted drug.

Officers successfully unraveled the intricate drug dealing network after initially arresting Mr. Game with 800 Ya-Ba pills in Chon-Buri. Under interrogation Mr. Game unraveled the network for police who subsequently arrested Mr. Mud during a sting operation were he was asked to deliver 2,000 pills of Ya-Ba.

The two arrested minors subsequently revealed the gangs head to be Mr. Chanwit Hanchingchai, currently believed to be residing on the border of Myanmar and Thailand. Mr. Mud provided investigating officers with their main seizure, disclosing the storage locations of the networks drug trafficking operations. Police subsequently went to the houses of Mr. J and Miss Maknuk along with the residence of Mr. Worawut arresting all three and seizing an estimated 144,000 of concealed Ya-Ba.

In total, officers have confiscated a total of 146,800 Ya-Ba pills in the investigation whilst a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the gangs head, Mr. Hanchingchai.
