Minivan Flips Over On 331

A minivan of an oil company swerved to miss an oncoming Toyota car which caused the minivan to lose control before flipping over. Luckily nobody was killed but 7 passengers including the driver sustained injuries, some serious. .

PATTAYA – May 18,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.00 a.m., the rescue team of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation, Pattaya city, was notified that there was a minivan which rolled over and there were many injured passengers. The incident occurred on the 331 road at the 13 kilometer marker, so they rushed to the scene together with the police of Huay Yai police station.


At the scene they found a bronze Toyota van, license number Hor Jor 1796 Bangkok which was severely damaged from rolling over. Also at the scene was 7 injured victims 4 who were severely injured and 3 who were slightly injured. Therefore the rescuers performed first aid for them before sending all of them to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.


Upon questioning Mr. Karakada Yuangsorn, aged 43, who was the driver told the police that he was driving the minivan which belonged to GE Oil & Gas Co., Ltd and was taking 6 employees to a company in Bangkok. When he arrived at the incident point a Toyota Camry car, license number Kor Tor 9711 Rayong, was driving on the wrong side of the road so he had to swerve severely which caused him to lose control of the van which ended up rolling over.


The driver of the Toyota car fled the scene at high speed. Initially, the police took photographs of the accident and made a record for evidence. However, the police had radioed to stop the Toyota car in order to question the driver further.
