Mini Marathon For Queen‘S Trophy

The Queen‘s Birthday on August 12th, 2008, which is also The National Mother‘s Day, Somdet Pranang Jao Siritkit Hospital Foundation, by Vice Admiral Surapol Bpuyanon, Director of Navy medical practitioner department, chaired the opening of a charitable activity of 3 kilometers Walking and 10.5 kilometers Mini Marathon for receiving a Royal trophy of Queen Sirikit.

The Queen’s Birthday on August 12th, 2008, which is also The National Mother’s Day, Somdet Pranang Jao Siritkit Hospital Foundation, by Vice Admiral Surapol Bpuyanon, Director of Navy medical practitioner department, chaired the opening of a charitable activity of 3 kilometers Walking and 10.5 kilometers Mini Marathon for receiving a Royal trophy of Queen Sirikit.

At the competition, Rear Admiral Nikorn Petchweerakul, director of Somdet Pranang Jao Siritkit Hospital, Navy base, Plu-talueng, Sattahip, Chonburi, and activity committee of Walking and Mini Marathon, was honored by Vice Admiral Sirichai Kanithakul, Chief of Staff for Fleet of Ship, Vice Admiral Srivisut Ratarun, Navy Commanding Officer, and representatives of The Navy, joining the competition.

The competitions were divided into 2 categories for 10.5 kilometers Mini Marathon and 3 kilometers Walking for Health. The competitors were divided into various groups of age : under 17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49 for both Male and Female. Male competitors are aged between 50-59, 60-69 and over 70 year old.

Mini Marathon for the length of 10.5 kilometers will start from Health garden court in the hospital, going along the way to Juk-samed pier, turning left to go through the gate of U-Tapao international airport about 2 kilometers, turning left again to go along the routing of U-Tapao airport and turning back in front of the monument of Admiral Gromalueng Chumporn Ket-udomsak to enter gate No. 5 of the hospital to the finishing line.

For the 3 kilometers Walking for Health, the starting point will be also at Health garden court in the hospital, going along the road No. 331 to go to Juk-samed pier, turning left to security point of Navy Air Force base, passing Sport recreation center, senior commissioned officer residents, Health garden, and to enter gate No. 7 to the finishing line. Both male and female OVER ALL winners of 10.5 kilometers Mini Marathon will recieve a trophy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.

Rear Admiral Nikorn Petchweerakul said, this year the competition had been well cooperated by people from government and private sectors, community power groups and many societies, joining the competition. After finishing the activity, the returns will be dedicated to the Queen accordingly.
