PATTAYA – June 7,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 18.30 pm Pol.Col.Suktad Pumpanmuang-superintendent of Pattaya police station- had been ordered by Maj.Gen.Kittithep Chiensuramai to inspect people who pretended to be soldiers. Later he ordered Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasmongkol and Pol.Capt.Witsanu Chaisuwan-deputy inspector- to investigate.
Whilst patrolling they found a pickup truck with a lot of men in the back so they chased after it and stopped it. The driver was identified as Mr.Prawit Boonpok aged 45 who had a special soldier team ID card.
As the officers were inspecting the truck another tuck turned up carrying more men in the back. Mr.Thawatchai Chanson aged 46 pretended to be the men’s leader and showed the police an official card that said he was a soldier. However, his card had expired already; therefore, the police officers detained them all and took them to the police station.
Mr.Thawatchai revealed that he was a soldier but is working for Four F Capital Co.Ltd which is a tour company that is owned by Lt.Gen.Porramet Pomna who is an ex-soldier. He was in charge of taking care of 6,500 tourists in China, Malaysia and many other countries in Asia.
Later the police officers contacted Lt.Winai Duangthong and he told the police that some of them were ex-soldiers so the police prosecuted Mr.Pornthep Asa aged 28, Mr.Prawit Boonpok aged 45, Mr.Sampan Polmor aged 30 and Mr.Suppakorn Prawing aged 40 for impersonating a soldier. The other men were released without charge.
The reporters questioned Maj.Gen.Kittithep and he said that some soldiers got involved with Four F Capital group and he had ordered them not to get involved again. In addition, the police could prosecute them as much as they could because they had dishonoured the Royal Thai Army.
