The home side did not help matters by starting the game with only 9 players and although by half time they had got on even terms in the form of players, the score line was certainly not even as the Pattaya based side lead 8-1.

Bjorn Ellingson opened the scoring when he powered a header home from a Patrik Schlageter corner, the rest of the half was all one way traffic. Lee Homer added a couple, before the ever dependable Paul Derbyshire opened his goalscoring campaign with a 30 yard screamer.

In truth FC Nova had not played that well in the first half, at times there passing was poor as they looked to play the killer ball much to often instead of keeping it simple
and making the numerical player advantage tell. After a few tactical changes from manager Stuart Levy, FC Nova started the second half much better.

Most of there best play came down the right flank with full back Mark Hill overlapping to great effect. The floodgates soon opened, Derbyshire completed his hatrick, there were further goals from Ellingson and Schlageter, before left back Mark Dorey got in on the action with a brace, Nicholas Creasey rattled the crossbar before firing
home and Thai Nick completed his hat-trick.

There was an impressive debut from 17 year old Ben, with his positive running down the right flank while Stuart Cowie looks a good acquisition to the squad. After the match the players travelled back to Pattaya to celebrate in usual style at Jamesons Irish Bar.

FC Nova know they cannot get complacent and write to much in to this result. But the early signs look good with coach Levy having assembled a strong looking squad for the 2010/11 Campaign.

They will surely face a much sterner test when they travel up to Bangkok again next week to take on BSL Youth.
