Mayor Oversees Seminar on Pattaya Development Plan

On Thursday morning, the mayor of Pattaya oversaw a seminar aimed at promoting the present and future development of the city to ensure a better quality of life for its residents and visiting tourists.

Pattaya, the 21st of October 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 10:00am on Thursday, Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Khunpluem oversaw a seminar at the Pattaya City Hall aimed at promoting the Pattaya Development Plan.

The seminar displayed the Pattaya administrations successful developments undertaken and completed in the last two-years, while granting attendees a look into the future advancement of development plans in years to come.

Displayed under the banner “Real do, Real done” mayor Itthiphol explained how the combined efforts of government officials, local administrators and the private sector had resolved to effectively deal with pressing developmental issues in Pattaya, providing residents and tourist with a better environment to live and visit.

Addressing the need to continue improvement in Pattaya, its facilities, services and attractions, Mr. Khunpluem voiced his opinion that numerous projects, policies and developments were currently proposed or underway to aid in raising the people’s living standards, income, education, health and transportation.

Mayor Itthiphol also acknowledged the greater role that the residents of Pattaya will play in the development of their city over the next 10-years, marking opinions as a fundamental inclusion into the areas Development Plan in all forms of project.

Specifically, the mayor stamped his intent on improving the area with a view to better safety and environmental practices, aiding to boost residents quality of life and the Kingdom’s appeal as a ‘green-tourism’ destination.

Concluding his speech Mr. Khunpluem invited guests to observe a variety of demonstrational models and city plans looking at the development and completion of a variety of projects completed or under construction over the last two-years and beyond.

In addition, a display of the city’s 14 most urgent projects was put on display in a variety of mediums for all to see, these included new developments, festivals and special events to boost the areas image and the betterment of the people.

Major policies involved the promotion of the region through festivals and concerts, upgrading existing infrastructure, developing Pattaya’s transportation and public transport services, crime suppression and prevention initiatives and development of the areas facilities and services.
