Martial Law Affects Tourism Industries in Pattaya

The martial law which has just been announced has extremely affected to the tourism industries in Pattaya. The number of tourists on Pattaya beach has significantly decreased compared with normal day.

Pattaya-May 21-[Pattaya Daily News]; As General Prayuth Chan-ocha has declared martial law on 20 May, at 03.00 am. , Pattaya Daily News’s reporters had surveyed tourism on Pattaya beach on the same day. They found that the beach was actually silent and there were tourists arriving on the beach lesser than normal days that there were thousands of Thais and foreigners on the beach.

Upon questioning the beach operators revealed that they expected that the tourism has been affected after the martial law has been declared. The tourism city like Pattaya has been directly affected because the tourists don’t want to travel. They also added that they need the situation to be finished as soon as possible because they lose their revenue.
