Marijuana Selling Cyclist Arrested In Pattaya

Pattaya police have arrested a reggae style male vendor who sold reggae style ornaments and marijuana to tourists as he cycled around Pattaya.

PATTAYA – November 3, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m., Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) together with the team of special suppressions had arrested Mr. Aphirom or Chai Iamjankham, aged 41, Sukhothai resident, and exhibits of 4 packs of marijuana with total weight of 11.8 g, equipment to consume marijuana and one 500 THB banknote that was used to buy the drugs.

 

Police had detected and found out that Mr. Aphirom or Chai who sold ornaments and costumes that had marijuana leafs also sold marijuana. He used to ride a bicycle that was loaded with goods that he would sell to tourists along Pattaya beach and in Walking Street, south Pattaya. Therefore, the police sent an undercover agent to purchase some marijuana off him for 500 THB. He arranged to meet Mr. Aphirom in front of the convenience store at the beginning of Soi 10, Pattaya Beach road where the police were watching. When the undercover agent gave them the signal they showed up and arrested him. Upon searching him they found 4 packs of marijuana which were hidden in his right pocket of his trousers and equipment for consuming marijuana were found on his bicycle so the officers seized them for evidence.

Upon questioning him he confessed that he got the marijuana from a Thai man (didn’t know his name and surname) for 100 THB per pack and then resold it to foreign tourists for 250 THB. He also told police that he had been selling marijuana for a long time.
