Man Shot Dead in Drive by Shooting in Pattaya

A man who was sat in his pick-up outside a friend’s house was shot dead by a gun man riding a motorbike. The police believe he may be involved in some type of illegal business.

PATTAYA-May 1, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 21.30 pm. Pol.Lt.Col.Saney Yodroongreung-Investigation Inspector of Nong Prue police station- was notified that there had been a shooting in Soi Mabyailea, he was accompanied with Pol.Col.Sutthisak Wanthee -Superintendent -, Pol.Capt.Kornpong Sukwisit-Deputy Investigation Inspector- and investigating officers to rush to the scene.

At the scene they found a pick-up car parking in front of a house. They found that the drivers window had been shot and the dead body inside was identified as Mr.Prawit Tohsamun or Bang Head aged 20 sat in the driver seat. He had been shot by a 9mm fire arm and had suffered gunshot wounds one to his neck, two to his cheek, four shots in his side and eight shots in his left arm. In addition there were 9 bullet shells found on the floor and Bang Head’s Iphone 4 was also found on the floor. His body was sent to Banglamung Hospital.

Pol.Col.Sutthisak said that Bang Head drove his car and parked in front of his friend’s house when 2 men riding a motorbike and shot him many times killing him before fleeing the scene . His friends tried to perform CPR but he was already dead. It’s expected that he was involved in illegal business or had a conflict with somebody. The police suspect it is some close to him however, they will continue their investigation.
