Man Seriously Wounded In Pattaya Daytime Shooting

A shooting in Sounth pattaya area sent a man to hospital with multiple bullet wounds.

Witnesses reported the police they heard three shots in front of Soi Sounth Pattaya 20 , near Sri Ayutthaya Bank, Moo. 10 Nongprue, banglamung, at about 6.00 pm, Tuesday[ 30th Sept.]

After being notified, Pol.Lt.Col.Supachai Puikumkaew, Pattaya police inspector and his commander, Pol.Col.Noppadol Wongnorm, Pattaya superintendent, accompanied with the police team and Sawangboriboon Rescued team rushed to the crime scene.

They found the victim, a man named Mr. Chaiya Worakarn[21] or Joe, the ransack ( “cat feet” in Thai) who was very well-known for being a tiptoeing thief, was lying on the ground in a pool of his blood with a serious injured.

Mr. Chaiya, had three gun shots on his left arm, rib and waist. He also had a Thai hand made gun with three bullets on his waist and 15,000 baht cash in his blown shoulder bag. Police also found three bullet cases of 9 mm. on the ground, they took all the evidences before rushed the victim to the hospital.

“There was one man on a motorbike, aged around 30s, with a woman sat behind him and it was totally premeditated,” said one man who said he saw what happened. “They were chasing the victim in that alley way. They did it, shot and took off, ride their Honda wave heading to Sukhumvit road”.

 
Pol.Col.Nopadol Wongnom, Pattaya superintendent, announced that police were conducting investigations into the background of the injured and had so far found out that Mr.Chaiya had several crime records of gambling, drugs and adultery.

However, police are not prepared to reveal the details in order to prevent the case being compromised.

Pol.Col.Nopadol is hopeful that the case will be solved within the next few days.
