Man Rescued After Threatening To Commit Suicide From A Footbridge

Volunteer Rescue officers were able to stop a man from committing suicide by jumping from a footbridge in front of a Pattaya City school.

Pattaya – August 5, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; Journalists were informed that a man was spotted on the edge of a footbridge near Pattaya City 7 school, rescue officers rushed out to the scene in order to stop the man from jumping.

The man who was going to commit suicide was identified as 21 year-old Mr. Sirisak who was reported to be in a sad state. Rescue officers said that he was saying things about his broken-heart.


The mother of the 21 year-old passed out after she saw his son at edge of the footbridge. The crowd that was surrounding him told him to listen to his mother and calm down, but he wouldn’t listen. As he was about to jump down, rescue officers were able to get a hold of him, which saved him.

It was reported that 21 year-old Sirisak had broken up with his girlfriend and that he was in such a state that he wanted to take his life.
